Went on a one day weekend trip to Cubborn Park & Jawahar Bal Bhavan. As Cubborn park was just beside Cubborn Park Metro, we decided to go in Metro rather than drive. You can drive and there is parking too, but we chose Metro as we could explore that as well. Moreover if your house is not nearby, then driving home in Bangalore traffic after long walks in the park might not be enjoyable. If you are going in Metro, take the BSNL exit gate.
There were many people and activities going on, such as a dance training for differently abled people, horse riding, picnic groups and even some love birds. The park is very big and green. While Cubborn park is a good place to spend time with friends and family, Kids will enjoy the nearby Jawahar Bal Bhavan with a toy train which takes you all around the park. It is not as good as it used to be. Laking is no more available.
There is no tickets or entry passes needed for cubborn park, except parking fee if you bring your vehicle. Jawahar Bal Bhavan however has a small fee of Rs. 10 for adults/kids over 10 years. According to the rules, they will not allow any adult without kids. There are also some other attractions nearby such as Government Aquarium, Museum etc.
There are not many options available for food close by. There is a veg restaurant inside the children's park. There are also not many restaurants outside except a McDonalds near Children's park opposite to cubborn park police station.
